Carnival Parade February 15, 2026 – Road Closure and Public Transport Disruption
The carnival parade will take place in Gmund again on February 15, 2026. From 12:00 PM to approximately 6:00 PM, the town center of Gmund will be completely closed to traffic. Please note that this will also affect public transport. The Gmund train station will be inaccessible from all directions. A replacement bus stop will be located at the Finsterwald secondary school. Connections to the BRB (Bayerische Regiobahn) and other buses will be available there. The detour will be via Finsterwald – Bayersäge to Bad Wiessee. The same applies in the opposite direction. The following stops will be temporarily closed: Gmund train station, Parksiedlung (both sides), and Kaltenbrunn (towards Bad Wiessee).

Ticket Sales for the Tegernsee Music Festival Start February 16, 2026
Offering official advance ticket sales for the popular music festival will begin next Monday, February 16. Tickets are available at all tourist information centers around the lake, all regular Munich Ticket advance booking offices, and online in the webshop. Bad Wiessee lakeside promenade reopens
The closure of the popular path in the area of ​​the Seegut construction site, which had been in place since October 2025, has been lifted. The lakeside promenade is now fully accessible again.

25th Tegernsee Valley Balloon Festival – February 1-8, 2026
Starting next week, the balloons will once again take to the skies, and the popular event celebrates its 25th anniversary. The highlight for all spectators will again be the balloon glow on Friday, February 6, at Sonnenbichl. All information can be found on our website.

Ballonglühen
Das für morgen, 6. Februar 2026, geplante Ballonglühen der Montgolfiade wird in angepasster Form an der Seepromenade Bad Wiessee durchgeführt. Grund dafür sind die im Vorfeld angekündigten Niederschläge, die eine Durchführung auf der Wiesenfläche am Sonnenbichl nicht zulassen.

Road closure at Rottach-Egern Dam
From January 12th to February 28th, 2026, road safety work will be carried out on the Rottach Dam road. This will result in short-term closures of one or both sides of the road between the Felitz Bridge and the Kalkofen district.
