Art & Design Tegernsee
From October 2nd to 5th, 2025, the 4th edition of the exclusive art and design fair “ART & DESIGN Tegernsee” will take place at Gut Kaltenbrunn, featuring new special highlights. See the program »
Bad Wiessee Lake Promenade Partially Closed
Due to the Seegut construction site, a section of the lake promenade will be closed to pedestrians. The closure is in effect from September 29th to December 19th, 2025, and affects the section from the pavilion to Neureuthstraße. The detour will take place via Adrian-Stoop-Straße.
Tegernsee Run
The Tegernsee Run will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Here you can find the BRB timetable changes between Gmund Finsterwald and Tegernsee. The replacement buses will only stop in Finsterwald and Tegernsee, not at Gmund Bahnhof.
The RVO buses have the following changes:
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM, the buses will only stop at Gmund Finsterwald and no longer at Gmund Bahnhof.
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the Gmund Bahnhof, Parksiedlung, and Kaltenbrunn stops towards Bad Wiessee will be canceled. The replacement stop is Gmund Finsterwald.
Route 359 at 10:34 AM from Gmund via Bad Wiessee to Tegernsee will be canceled.
Route 359 departs at 10:12 a.m. from Tegernsee via Bad Wiessee and ends in Gmund / Finsterwald (secondary school).
Invitation from the Tegernsee Volkstheater
The Tegernsee Volkstheater invites all hosts to the dress rehearsal of the play “Crash Landing into Paradise” on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the cultural tent in the Tegernsee spa gardens. Link
Tegernsee Week
Tegernsee Week takes place from September 25 to October 5, 2025, with an exciting and diverse cultural program. The week opens with the band Radio Europa, who will bring sounds from across the continent. Link»
Mountain Air Festival
The Mountain Air Festival will take place as planned tomorrow, September 13, 2025, at the Jagahüttn. Remaining tickets are available at the box office for €40.00 (a separate charge applies for the cable car ride).
Gmund – Tegernsee Road Opens Again
According to the Road Construction Office, the B307 federal highway between Gmund and Tegernsee will be fully reopened and open to traffic on both sides starting today, September 12, 2025, at approximately 5:00 PM. Next week, there may be some partial closures of the road with traffic lights due to rework.
Gmund Kaltenbrunn Railroad Crossing
The railroad crossing in Gmund near Kaltenbrunn will be closed due to construction work until tomorrow, September 13, 2025. The detour will take place via Finsterwald. The BRB will be making timetable changes in both directions, closing the Finsterwald stop, and providing rail replacement bus services between Schaftlach and Gmund. The route will be reopened and open to traffic starting Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Tegernsee Run
The Tegernsee Run will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
The following roads will be closed for a short time:
10:20 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: B307 closed from Stachus Gmund via Tegernsee to Rottach/Seestraße (cars can follow the participants towards Rottach from approximately 11:00 a.m.) → Detour via Bad Wiessee or tourist traffic via Sylvenstein
10:10 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.: B307 closed from Rottach/Seestraße via Tegernsee to Gmund → Detour via Bad Wiessee or tourist traffic via Sylvenstein
10:50 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Seestraße Rottach-Egern closed
11:10 a.m. – 12:40 p.m.: B318 closed on both sides between Bad Wiessee (Wilhelminastraße junction) and Gut Kaltenbrunn → Detour via Tegernsee or tourist traffic via Sylvenstein
Both sides of the Gmund town center (train station area) closed B318 from Saturday, September 27, 9:00 a.m. to Sunday, September 28, until approximately 6:00 p.m. from Wiesseerstraße, Tölzerberg junction to Gut Kaltenbrunn → Detour via Kreuzstrasse / Finsterwald / Gut Kaltenbrun
Lake Festival Dates 2026
The Lake Festival dates for next year have been confirmed:
Rottach-Egern: Tuesday, July 7 (July 8/9)
Tegernsee: Tuesday, July 28 (July 29/30)
Bad Wiessee: Friday, August 14 (August 15/16)
Construction work on the B 307 Seeglas St. Quirin roundabout
Below you will find information from the Rosenheim Road Construction Office:
The B 307 road rehabilitation will be implemented as follows:
- Preparatory work in week 33 and week 34, August 11 to August 22, 2025, using construction site traffic lights with a partial closure of the B 307.
- Full closure of the B 307 for road rehabilitation in the construction area from week 35 to week 37, August 25 to September 12, 2025. In addition, construction work will begin on the new connection of the adjacent properties at the entrance to St. Quirin by the Tegernsee power plant.
- Completion work on the B 307 road rehabilitation in week 38, September 15. Until September 19, 2025, the B 307 will be partially closed using construction traffic lights.
Depending on the construction company’s work schedule, the partial closures will be subject to variable time frames; the full closure is fixed for 3 weeks.
Please also note that the Tegernsee Railway will also be closing the Gmund Kaltenbrunn level crossing on the B 318 in week 37 (last week of the school holidays), with detours via Tölzer Berg St 2365 and Ackerberg/Kaltenbrunn St 2366.
New Bicycle Rental at Gmund Train Station
