The lake festival in Rottach-Egern has been postponed to Thursday, July 10th!

Tegernsee Triathlon – Schedule Changes & Road Closures
On Sunday, July 6th, due to the fully booked triathlon, there will be schedule changes on the Munich – Holzkirchen – Tegernsee train route, as well as road closures. The area from the Gmund roundabout/Seeglas to the entrance to Tegernsee, as well as to Hausham, will be closed from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the latest, as the cycling stage will take place there. A detour is already signposted from Kreuzstraße.

Training Camp at Birkenmoos
Top football clubs are coming to Tegernsee for training camps again this year:
Borussia Mönchengladbach July 19 – July 25, 2025
VfB Stuttgart July 28 – August 2, 2025

Whether there will be public training sessions or test matches is currently unknown and will usually be announced at short notice. FC Bayern will not be coming this year.

New Bicycle Rental at Gmund Train Station

Elendsattel closed due to grouse.
Effective immediately until May 16, 2025, access to the Elendsattel is prohibited due to the mating and breeding season of the protected grouse. The popular route between Forsthaus Valepp and Spitzingsee is unaffected. It is completely snow-free and can already be cycled. The road from Suttensee will be open to cars starting May 1. The loop to the Erzherzog-Johann-Klause and the detour to the Ackernalm are also unaffected.
