Tegernsee Valley Museum
The Tegernseer Tal Museum is offering a special exhibition “A Free Spirit – Faithful in Change” from May 18 to August 12, 2024. The traveling exhibition, designed to mark the 200th anniversary of his death, focuses on the multifaceted life of Napoleon’s stepson and son-in-law, King Max I Joseph, Eugène de Beauharnais, and the international ramifications of the Leuchtenberg ducal family.

At the Intern. Museum Day, May 19th, invites you to visit the museum with free admission.

Road closure – St. Quirin and Buchbergweg – Alley – Kurstrasse
From today at 7:00 p.m. until Sunday, May 12th at 7:00 p.m., the St. Quirin level crossing will be completely closed – this closure also affects pedestrians and cyclists. The municipality of Gmund expects that a large number of road users will take the route Buchbergweg – Gasse – Kurstrasse as a shortcut, especially on weekends and public holidays. Due to the lack of alternative options, this leads to a situation at the bottleneck from Oberbuchberger to Unterbuchberger that would make the use of rescue vehicles impossible. Due to this, the passage between Buchbergweg and the alley will be closed for the same period. According to the signs, the passage is free for cyclists and pedestrians, but for residents on Buchbergweg only from house numbers 1 to 14 (Unterbuchberger) and in the alley only from 1 to 40 (Oberbuchberger). There will be a complete closure between Unterbuchberger and Oberbuchberger.
