The Hotel Maier zum Kirschner supports the Wings for Life World Run in Rottach-Egern

On May 4, 2025, the time had come again: The Wings for Life World Run stopped in Rottach-Egern and transformed the lakeside promenade on Rottach Bay into a meeting place for sport, community, and solidarity. On that day, 310,719 runners worldwide took part and collectively raised €8.6 million for spinal cord research – an impressive sign of how much can be achieved through solidarity and commitment.

The enthusiasm was palpable in Rottach-Egern, too: Over 2,500 kilometers were run, contributing to further advancing research into a cure for spinal cord injury. An event like this thrives on the support of many – and the Hotel Maier zum Kirschner was a very special partner this year.

Strong Local Partnership
As a traditional, family-run hotel in the heart of Rottach-Egern, the Hotel Maier zum Kirschner is firmly rooted in the region. For the team, it was a given to actively support the Wings for Life World Run: With e-bikes for the organization, financial assistance, and spontaneous support with catering for participants after the run, the hotel demonstrated how valuable local commitment is for the success of an international charity event.
